Espaniño

A super-fun and effective language program that presents the language in an amusing and memorable way. Filled with communicative activities, games and songs for every single content presented, the children leave each class having learnt something new and being able to use it in a realistic way.

We coined the term “Espaniño” (pronounced “es-pa-NEEN-yo”) from two words in Spanish, ‘Español’ (Spanish) and ‘Niño’ (Child).

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Espaniño is a year-round program organized into different levels according to the age of the students. There are two terms in an Academic year: the Fall Term and the Winter Term. At the end of each term, the “Espaniños”  get :
The “Espaniño” Portfolio An Audio-cassette A Performance and Attendance Sheet A Certificate of Completion
This portfolio contains all their works/crafts produced during the term.

With all the songs/rhymes learnt during the session, this cassette provides  on-going practice and pure fun at home or in the car.

This sheet contains all the information pertaining to the course and the child’s participation.

This is given at the end of the Academic year.

CLASS DESCRIPTION/ORGANIZATION

The contents are presented in an amusing way with visuals, videos, songs and crafts using a “total immersion” to the target language.   All the language skills (speaking, listening; and where applicable, reading and writing) are practiced in each unit.
The Espaniños are also introduced to the culture of the Spanish speaking countries through music, dance and food tasting.   Teachers are all native speakers with experience teaching languages to children.
