TALKKids Methodology

TALKKids course design is based on a fundamental group of elements which make up the success of its classes.

  • Full Immersion

    The program is delivered in a very entertaining way utilizing the target language at all times - full immersion! The children have an opportunity to listen, speak and in the older age group, to read and write the language. All the activities are conducted in the target language and the children start absorbing the language in a very natural way, in the same way they acquire their first language.

  • A content based curriculum

    The TALKKids curriculum is entirely designed with the idea that a new language is best learned in a context and thus, each and every language structure is presented through contents, which are introduced weekly and exploited to the maximum, creating a "real-life" environment in the classroom.

  • Games, communicative activities and crafts

    All the language objectives are attained through fun activities, games and hands-on practice. All the games have been specially designed based on each content presented; and the crafts have the objective of reinforcing the "topic of the day".

  • Music, music and more music

    The TALKKids curriculum is based on the premise that each and every class has to be memorable for its participants; and this idea is reflected in the use of the TALKKids Music and Song collection. This is a compilation of songs which have been composed for each content presented; and at the end of each session or course of studies, the TALKKids participant receives a cassette containing all the songs learnt in class for ongoing practice at home or in the car.

    Instructors are all fully qualified language teachers and native speakers from different parts of the Spanish-speaking world. The main qualities that a TALKKids instructor has are an honest dedication to the age-group he/she is teaching, a capacity to create and re-create to make classes fun; a never-ending energy and a strong theoretical background that supports the techniques and activities that s/he uses in the language classroom.
